A Contemplative Journey Through Lent
This year our congregation is partnering with The Church of St. Luke and St. Matthew (520 Clinton Avenue) in offering to the public a contemplative Lenten journey to take place on Wednesday evenings. On Wednesday, February 14th we will together host an Ash Wednesday service at 7 pm which will include the imposition of ashes. On every following Wednesday in Lent we will begin at 7:30 pm for a short but multi-sensory experience of contemplative prayer, including reflective meditation on the Lenten Psalms, focused and centering silence, and Taize singing. Our journey will culminate in a Stations of the Cross Taize service on Holy Wednesday (March 28th). Mark your calendars now and plan to join with others in this corporate journey into becoming a more contemplative people.

In addition to the Advent guide, we’ve also created a Jesse Tree to accompany your Advent devotions. The Advent Guide and the Jesse Tree Pamphlet could be used together or independently. Regardless, we hope this pamphlet and the ornaments help you enter the joy of Advent.
